BAPIO contributes to Pakistan Flood Disaster Appeal

One-third of Pakistan remains underwater after the deadliest floods the country has ever seen. Nearly 1,400 people have died, 13,000 injured and millions left homeless since unprecedented monsoon rains started in mid-June.

BAPIO President Ramesh Mehta said “ We are extremely concerned about the flood situation in Pakistan. We will try and support the relief efforts to the best
ability. We are pleased to be donating the first tranche of £2500 to APPNE who has been closely working with BAPIO on many issues of common interest” Mr. Irfan Akhtar, President of the Association of Pakistani Physicians of Northern Europe said “ This is extremely generous, kind, and thoughtful of you. On behalf of team APPNE our thanks to BAPIO and your leadership”.
