BAPIO organised a well-attended and well-received academic session on Hot Topics in Paediatrics during the first day of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health Annual Conference (26 March 2025). The session, which was organised by Dr. Renu Jainer and Dr. Srini Bandi from BAPIO’s Paediatric Forum, was attended by approximately 100 delegates who had the opportunity to listen to distinguished speakers including Prof Steve Turner (President RCPCH), Dr. Birendra Rai (Leicester Royal Infirmary), Dr. Bhanu Williams (Northwick Park Hospital), Dr. Deepa Patel (St. John Hospital, Lothian) and Dr. Sarah Henderson (RHCP, Edinburgh),
Topics covered included functional neurological disorders, refugee child health, ADHD management as well as updates on RCPCH activities and latest developments in renal paediatric medicine and neonatology. As with previous Hot Topics sessions, BAPIO received excellent feedback from attendees. Following the conclusion of the Hot Topics session, BAPIO hosted a gala dinner at the Firangi Restaurant.
