BAPIO congratulates Mr. Chelliah Selvasekar on his election to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
The British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) is delighted that Mr. Chelliah Selvasekar, Chair of BAPIO’s North West division and a longstanding BAPIO member, has been elected to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd).
Mr. Selvasekar is a Consultant General, Colorectal and Robotic Surgeon and is Divisional Medical Director, Clinical Services & Specialist Surgery, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. He is also Clinical Director, Manchester Surgical Skills & Simulation Centre, Hon. Clinical Professor, Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine, Edge Hill University and Hon. Sr Lecturer, University of Manchester.
As part of his role as Council member of RCSEd, Mr. Selvasekar is keen to work collaboratively and in partnership with various organisations, including BAPIO, to ensure that the modern healthcare workforce is robust and competent to serve the population’s needs. BAPIO looks forward to working more closely with RCSEd in the years ahead and once again wishes Mr. Selvasekar all the very best in his new role.
