BAPIO Kings Lynn unit launched

BAPIO Kings Lynn unit was officially launched on 2nd October 2021. BAPIO President Dr Ramesh Mehta inaugurated the unit, along with BAPIO Vice President Dr Satheesh Mathew and BAPIO Secretary Prof. Parag Singhal in the presence of local members from Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Primary Care GPs who attended the event virtually via Zoom.

The unit is multidisciplinary whose members come from all the clinical domains, and are keen to support each other in a unique way in voicing their concerns unitedly. The BAPIO president has extended BAPIO’s support to our members in developing and improving their career prospects and early resolution of problems at workplace. The strengths of our unit were acknowledged and members interacted with Dr Mehta on the issues of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the NHS.

Though the meeting was virtual but attendees felt that they were all in one room where everyone had an opportunity to share their views and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Dr Mathew addressed the unit about MDS and its services. Members showed keen interest and asked questions about its membership. Prof Singhal talked about BTA and its scope in education, training, and recruitment. Kings Lynn unit Members felt encouraged and explored the opportunities to form partnership with BTA.
