Dr (Mrs.) Anju Kumar (nee Khanna) Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, Wales, and a BAPIO member is awarded the ‘Officer of the Order of the British Empire- OBE’ for services to Women’s Health and Welfare in Wales; in the King’s Birthday Honors 2023.
Dr. Anju Kumar was conferred the Life Time Achievement Award by the Welsh Ethnic Minority Women Association. Recently, she was made the ‘Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales- FLSW’ in recognition of her achievements and contributions to the NHS Wales Women Services and services to the Indian diaspora in Wales, UK. She continues to serve the NHS Wales as an external adviser for Women’s services.
