BAPIO proudly presents the newly conceived SAS/LED forum to provide an engaging platform and voice to LED and SAS doctors in the UK. The forum’s motto is to enrich these doctors who form an invaluable asset to the NHS, with opportunities for interaction, identify areas of key interest and formulate solutions to the barriers faced in both professional and social progression amongst doctors.
Under the visionary leadership of Dr Kantappa Gajanan, the Chairperson, this newly formed team comprises young doctors with a diverse cultural and regional background. We are also very proud and honoured to see a forum with a female majority in roles, something rarely seen in leadership.
Dr Ramesh Mehta, President of BAPIO congratulated the forum for a newly formed organising committee and said ‘ I am very proud of the new structure of the Committee and best wishes to the team and Dr Gajanan in achieving the key objective to engage, train and empower the SAS/LED across UK and aid them in acquiring equal career and leadership opportunities.’
The forum stands up to its vision of assigning leadership roles to young doctors in the country with dynamic envisions and based on talents.
The team is formed by 18 doctors spread across the UK as leads and office bearers of various forums, including five members forming the executive board and overall delegating body of the forum.
