BAPIO South of England division had a very successful regional conference, in Partnership with BSUH NHS Trust. “Improving Patient Safety by Promoting Equality & Inclusion” on 22nd February 2019 at Hilton Brighton Metropole, Brighton. There was an excellent response to very first south of England conference, which was followed by a gala dinner.
The highlight of the day was signing of the collaboration agreement between BAPIO and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Dame Marianne Griffiths, the CEO of BSUH NHS Trust said “I am delighted that BAPIO will assist the Trust with issues of equality and inclusion. We want to work Closely with BAPIO”
Dr Ramesh Mehta, President of BAPIO said “We are pleased to note the commitment of the trust to equality and inclusion. BAPIO has passion and experience to assist the trust”
Mr Kalidasan, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Brighton and Chair of BAPIO South of England division said “BAPIO presence in the trust will also raise staff morale. BAPIO can also assist with staff recruitment and retention”
