NHS Chief Executive Mr Simon Stevens Launches BAPIO Training Academy (BTA)

BAPIO Training Academy Launch

The latest initiative of BAPIO was launched at the BAPIO Annual Conference on 1st November 2015.

BAPIO Training Academy (BTA) brings together clinicians and educators working in the NHS committed to supporting high quality training.

The post- graduate training sphere is full of courses on offer. It is increasingly difficult to gauge the quality and cost effectiveness. At the same time, new content providers are struggling to find a platform that can support course development and tap into a subscriber base. Finally, organizations seeking to provide bespoke content to their members need to feel confident that the courses they commission are of high quality. The BTA team aims to provide a high quality platform for all of the above.

The BTA team has years of experience working and training in the NHS whilst maintaining close links with the Indian subcontinent. This puts us in a unique position to facilitate a two-way flow of knowledge and expertise between our overseas colleagues and the NHS. The vast talent pool of our trainers is naturally sensitive to training needs of doctors from the Indian subcontinent and we aim to synergize this association.

The director of Academy is Dr Amit Gupta and the deputy director is Dr Vivek Chhabra.
