It is a result of a major collaborative effort between GAPIO, BAPIO, AAPI and Ministry of Health, Government of India. It is designed to connect and make it easier for Physicians of Indian origin residing abroad to find out about opportunities to support various healthcare requirements in India, ranging from helping at health fairs, eye camps, screening etc. In addition, State Governments will be posting their requirements for healthcare professionals and overseas Physicians of Indian origin will be able to apply for them online.
The website was launched by Dr Harsh Vardhan, the Indian Minister for Health during the American Association of Indian origin convention in San Antonio, USA on 28th of June 2014 in the presence of BAPIO President, Dr Ramesh Mehta.
