Information on BAPIO Divisions
- BAPIO divisions are an integral part of BAPIO’s governance and operational structure
- They provide the opportunity for members to connect with other BAPIO members in their region
- All BAPIO members must be a part of their local BAPIO division including being a member of the division WhatsApp group and email communications
- All BAPIO divisions are expected to organise regular meetings including CPD events, speaker series and social gatherings
- BAPIO divisions are led by a chair or co-chairs, who are appointed by the BAPIO Executive Committee following an open application process in which all BAPIO members in the division are eligible to apply
- The chair/co-chairs are usually supported by a local executive committee which helps in the smooth functioning of the division’s activities
- BAPIO members must ensure that they are informed of the contact details for their divisions chair(s) and other members of the division EC
- All division chairs are members of BAPIO’s Grand Advisory Council, which provides a platform for them to raise issues affecting their division members and to contribute towards BAPIO strategy and policies
- BAPIO chairs are also responsible for nominating deserving members for BAPIO Awards, which are awarded during the BAPIO Annual Conference
- Members who are facing workplace issues can approach their division chair(s) and/or the BAPIO office for assistance and informal advice
- All BAPIO members are expected to prioritise attending the BAPIO Annual Conference which is held in September/October every year
- In addition to their division, BAPIO members are strongly encouraged to join one or more of BAPIO’s forums and arm’s length bodies. Further information on these can be found on the BAPIO website.
