BAPIO is pleased to announce the first BAPIO Research & Innovation Competition in collaboration with Royal College of Physicians, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and Doctors Academy.
The Research and Innovation Competition, which aims to promote the exchange of medical and scientific knowledge, enables enthusiastic and inspired medical students and junior doctors to present their work to their peers, either in the form of an oral or a poster presentation. Once the abstracts are submitted online, 30 delegates will be short-listed to present their work as an oral presentation on 19th November (Saturday). From this, the judges will select the top four presenters who will then present their work in the plenary session on 20th November (Sunday). A further 20 delegates will be invited to present their work as posters at the conference. There are four categories in the Research and Innovation Paper Competition:
- Clinical Sciences and Patient Based Research
- Basic Science/Translational Research
- Innovations in Healthcare
- Hospital and Healthcare Management
Awards:
The following prizes will be awarded to the best four presentations:
1st Prize: Opportunity to travel to Hyderabad, India and present the paper in an International conference + 1-week attachment in an Indian Hospital in a speciality of the delegate’s choice.
2nd Prize: £250 + Trophy + Certificate
3rd Prize: £100 + Trophy + Certificate
4th Prize: £50 + Trophy + Certificate
A Certificate of Participation with the logos of all organisations involved will be provided to each presenter.
