British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) is celebrating 20th Anniversary of its formation at the Annual Dinner to be held on 19th November 2016 at the Park Inn Hotel, Heathrow – London. In 1996 the Association was formed initially to highlight the issues affecting a large number of doctors arriving from the Indian Sub-continent to serve in the NHS. Over the two decades the association has grown in stature and influence with a proactive contribution in supporting BME doctors to protect their career and influencing policies and practices of the institutions serving the NHS.
The two decades of contribution was focused on strategically four key pillars; Policy development, Education and Skills development, Advice and representation support to individuals and International charity and promotion of better health care.
BAPIO is a non-party membership organisation and its activities are open to all the medical graduates and students in UK.
