Dr Ramesh Mehta met Dr Harsh Vardhan, the new Health Minister of India during American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) convention in San Antonio, USA. He is keen to have a database of doctors who would like to be faculty in the new AIMMS like institutes coming up in India. There are plans for 10 new All India Medical Institutes. There is also a great shortage of faculty in many current institutions. It can be part time or full time service. Retired doctors welcome. BAPIO will soon announce commencement of the database. Dr Harsh Vardhan also accepted an invitation to attend BAPIO Annual Conference in Manchester on 28 th to 30th November.
